I’m Nader Amiran, and I’m so delighted that you’re here. My team and I are dedicated to treating you with the utmost respect, dignity, and care. When you walk through our doors, you become a part of our family. I treat every patient with the same compassion and attention as I would my own loved ones.
The vision behind AIRE Dental is simple: to provide exceptional care while sharing my knowledge and experience to ensure you receive the best possible treatment. We take great pride in building lasting relationships with our patients. To me, you’re not just a patient—you’re a friend, and I treat you like family. Whether it’s TMJ, airway issues, orthodontics, or full-mouth reconstruction, we are here to help you. I can confidently say that we have some of the best dental clinicians in the United States. As a dentist, I believe this profession is truly a blend of art, passion, and science, each complementing the other. Personally, I have always been drawn to the arts, whether it’s writing, painting, or playing the piano. Dentistry allows me to combine my artistic interests with my love for science, and I can honestly say I’ve never regretted a single day of practicing this craft. I’m deeply inspired by my father, a dedicated general surgeon and orthopedic specialist, who continues to guide and influence me from above.
Let me share a bit about my journey. The foundation of medicine is science, and that’s something I’ve always been passionate about. I was a biology major, and in 2016, I had the opportunity to earn my Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Roosevelt University in Chicago, a city I quickly grew to love for its vibrant energy and rich history. Three years later, in 2019, I graduated with my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.
After graduation, I deepened my expertise in implantology with a year-long certification in surgical and prosthetic implantology at the prestigious Chicago Implant Institute. My journey continued with hands-on implant training in São Paulo, Brazil, and several advanced cosmetic dentistry programs at the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago, where I learned from some of the world’s leading experts. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with talented colleagues, refining my skills in digital restorative dentistry, implants, and TMJ treatments. Now, at AIRE Dental, I’m excited to bring these innovations to my patients, helping them achieve healthier, happier smiles.
My mission is to create a warm, relaxed, and compassionate environment where you feel heard, cared for, and at ease throughout your dental journey.
Outside of the office, I love to travel and explore new places, spend time tinkering on my 1975 piano (a cherished gift from my father), and experiment with new recipes in the kitchen. I’m a self-proclaimed chef who enjoys cooking and trying new cuisines. Above all, I value spending quality time with my family and friends.

Dr. Courtney Donkoh DDS
Dr. Courtney Donkoh graduated from The University of Iowa in 2010, attaining a BS in Integrative Physiology. She completed her dental training in 2014 at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Since graduating, Dr. Donkoh has completed hundreds of hours of post-graduate continuing education, primarily in the areas of craniofacial growth and development, dentofacial orthopedics and orthodontics.
Dr. Donkoh is passionate about interdisciplinary care and the important role oral health plays in one’s quality of life and systemic health. She considers herself an “academic” and when not with patients, is often reading a text book or peer-reviewed literature, or even preparing or presenting lecture material.
Dr. Ahmed Y. Shawky DDS, MS
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Ahmed Shawky DDS MS graduated from the University of Minnesota, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, and Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees (BS/MS) in Biomedical Engineering. Furthering his expertise, he completed additional training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Marquette University where he received a Masters of Science degree (MS) and an Orthodontics Specialty Certificate. He is a proud member of several professional organizations including: the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Midwest Society of Orthodontists (MSO) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Away from work Dr. Shawky is passionate about running and cycling. In fact, he and his wife met on a memorable 100-mile round trip bike ride from Illinois to Wisconsin. Together they also enjoy cooking and socializing with friends. They look forward to starting their family in the Chicagoland suburbs.
Dr. Mohammed Al Rubaie, DMD , Periodontist
After graduating dental school, Dr AlRubaie finished a 2 year residency program in advanced education in general dentistry from Miami, Florida and practiced for 6 years as a general dentist in Illinois and Florida. Afterwards, Dr AlRubaie joined a 3 year dual degree residency program in Periodontology and Master of Science at Nova Southeastern University/College of Dental medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr AlRubaie is a board eligible periodontist and has a great passion for his field. Dr AlRubaie did his Master thesis about dental implants and he has published in peer reviewed journals.
During his spare time, He enjoys practicing kickboxing and travels for scuba diving spots all over the world.
